Returning to our Roots
The Scottish Pagan Federation's Annual Conference 2023.
SPF are excited to be offering a conference on Saturday, 11th November 2023 at The Glasgow Trades Hall, 10am-4:30pm. This venue is a new one for SPF; it is fully accessible for attendees with mobility requirements and central to Glasgow with excellent transport links. This conference is suitable for ages 16+.
Our Theme
SPF will be hosting a vibrant mix of talks, workshops, discussions, rituals, plus a contemplative labyrinth to walk, all under our theme of Returning to our Roots. Our intent is to reconnect, both with one another physically after the constraint of on-line events, as well as with our core Pagan beliefs and practices. Our hope is our event will be of relevance to Pagans of all paths, at every stage of their journey. Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, make connections, and find inspiration, as we head into the winter months.
A Hybrid Conference
For the first time in SPF’s history, our conference will be a wholly hybrid offering for both in-person and virtual attendees. Although SPF are thrilled to be returning to a physical event, after the absence of the past couple of years, we are aware of the benefits of holding on-line events too. Our hybrid conference will allow Pagans across the whole of Scotland, and beyond, to join us. The talks from the Grand Hall will be live-streamed on the day, whilst the talks from the other rooms will be recorded and added to SPF’s website as soon as possible. Some of our speakers, including Philip Carr-Gomm, Lora O’Brien and Jean Fowler, will be offering exclusive on-line content.
Accessibility
The Glasgow Trades Hall is an accessible venue with two lifts at each level for wheelchair users.
There will be a quiet room at the Conference for anyone to use for quiet contemplation or for if you need space on the day. This will be the Lady Convenor's Room.
We are working to ensure that all videos will have captions available. The livestreamed content will be captioned. Please accept our apologies for an inaccuracies in the transcripts.
We will also have volunteers with badges on that you can approach with any questions or if you need a bit of support. If you have any questions about accessibility, please contact us for more information.
