Training Police Probationers
Training Police Probationers
June 2025
The Edinburgh Interfaith Association invited the Scottish Pagan Federation to again be involved with their Interfaith training panel for Police Scotland probationers. The first of these type of panels took place in March 2025 and the second in June 2025. These panels are for new officers to develop an understanding of different faiths within Scotland and what to be mindful of when interacting with these communities. There have been representatives from several faiths including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Baháʼí, and Paganism attending these events.
Our Presiding Officer has attended these sharing information with officers about Pagan practices and things for officers to be aware of. This included information about attending a Pagan household, understanding beliefs, and practical considerations for officers such as travelling with an athame, boline, or seax.
We are looking forward to attending again in October 2025!
Brightest Blessings,
The SPF Team
